๐ Outreach & Operational Efficiency โ
The second Pillar, Outreach & Operational Efficiency addresses how institutions are leveraging Artificial Intelligence to improve internal operations and engage meaningfully with external partners. This pillar is organised through four thematic indicatorsโstudent recruitment and application, personalised student support, faculty and administrative efficiency, and external engagement and partnerships. These indicators are unpacked through eight sub-indicators that cover both institutional performance and broader community impact.
The framework examines the use of AI tools in student application processes to streamline the admissions journey as well as student recruitment and conversion, processes such as targeting prospective students through predictive analytics or optimising communication strategies.
Emphasis is also placed on AI-enabled career guidance services and considers the extent to which real-time student support is available through AI. Operational efficiency is addressed through the institutionโs use of AI to support faculty and administrative processes.
Externally, the framework measures how the institution contributes to community learning through outreach or continuing education programs focused on AI. It also assesses the strength of AI-related partnerships, whether with industry, government, or other educational institutions. Finally, the inclusion of work-integrated learning opportunities involving AI ensures that students are prepared for real-world AI applications through internships, fieldwork, or capstone projects.
